Jon Voight to star in "Harry Potter" spin-off

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. Gemma Chan, who stars in AMC's sci-fi thrillerHumans,SelmaactressCarmen EjogoandJon Voighthave joined the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Warner Bros.’s fantasy set in the world ofJ.K. Rowling’sHarry Potter.

As “Armenpress” reports, referring to The Hollywood Reporter the movie is currently shooting in England withEddie Redmaynestarring as Newt Scamander, the wizarding world’s preeminent magizoologist. The premierе will be on November 18, 2016.

Among those already cast areKatherine Waterston,Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell,Dan FoglerandSamantha Morton.

David Yatesis behind the camera as director working with a script penned by Rowling herself.

Character info for the latest trio to join the film was not revealed.

Voight is the veteran actor who’s currently appearing in Showtime’sRay Donovan. He is repped by CAA.
