Aram Danielyan elected Mayor of Hrazdan

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, ARMENPRESS: The preliminary results of the elections of local self-governmental bodies in the Hrazdan town of the Armenian province of Kotayk are known. An official from the Central Electoral Commission told Armenpress member of the Republican Party of Armenia Aram Danielyan received 13 079 votes, non-party, ANC associate Sasun Mikayelyan received 11 506 votes in the elections of mayor of the town.

About 893 ballots have been recognized invalid. 25 480 eligible voters out of 43 874 participated in the elections.

Elections of local self-governmental bodies were held in more than 40 communities of the Armenian provinces of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Syunik and Tavush February 12. Heads of communities and members of council of elders have been elected.
