SOUTH OSSETIA TO OPEN EMBASSY IN ABKHAZIA

SUKHUMI, APRIL 15, ARMENPRESS:Leaders of two unrecognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which broke away from Georgia in early 1990-s, are negotiating in Sukhumi, the capital of Abkhazia, behind closed doors, Russian Interfax news agency said. It said Sergey Bagapsh of Abkhazia and Eduard Kokoity of South Ossetia are expected to sign agreements on cooperation between their customs services and trade and industry chambers. Interfax quoted Valery Arshba, chief of Bagapsh’s staff, as saying that South Ossetia plans to open embassy in Sukhumi.
