Armenia, Germany foreign ministers refer to the process of regulating Armenia-Azerbaijan relations

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday had a meeting in Berlin with Annalena Baerbock, the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany. During the meeting, regional security issues were discussed, the foreign ministry said.

The process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the course of discussions held in Berlin with the participation of the ministers of the two countries on the same day were also addressed.

Ararat Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s approaches to key issues in regulating interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan to his colleague. These approaches are also reflected in the statement following the quadripartite meeting in Granada (October 2023), including the process of border delimitation based on the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991, and unlocking regional infrastructure based on the principles of respect for sovereignty, jurisdiction, reciprocity, and equality.
