Over 60 Members of European Parliament demand EU sanctions against Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Over 60 Members of the European Parliament have sent a letter to High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell requesting to impose sanctions against Azerbaijan for its large-scale attack in Nagorno-Karabakh.

MEP Nathalie Loiseau, the Chair of the European Parliament’s Security and Defense Subcommittee published the letter on X.

“More than 60 Members of the European Parliament followed me and requested Europe to impose sanctions against the Ilham Aliyev regime for the attack on the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh,” MEP Loiseau said. The MEPs call on Borrell to take action and prevent the ethnic cleansing and new war.
