Azerbaijanis have no right to be on that road, no right to make decisions – State Minister of Nagorno Karabakh

Azerbaijanis have no right to be on that road, no right to make decisions – State Minister of
Nagorno Karabakh

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS. State Minister of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) Ruben Vardanyan expressed certainty that they will overcome the Azeri provocation of closing the Lachin Corridor. In a statement broadcast live via social media, Vardanyan emphasized that the Azerbaijanis don’t have the right to be on that road and don’t have the right to make decisions.

“It’s been 72 hours that we are blockaded. I am proud that I live here with you all because we are passing through this crisis very decently. I have much faith that we will overcome everything. The strength and faith that I see in you gives me great energy,” Vardanyan said.

He stressed that even during the First Nagorno Karabakh War and the Second Nagorno Karabakh War the Lachin Corridor was never closed. Vardanyan said that by closing the road Azerbaijan wants to see how long the Armenians will endure.

Speaking about the fake news spread by Azerbaijan claiming that they will allow Armenian vehicles to pass, Vardanyan said: “Who are they to allow or not allow us? They have no right to be on that road, they have no right to make decisions.”

“They must withdraw from that road. Until we don’t realize that only we must have the right to use that road, be it with the Russian peacekeepers, nothing will change. We can’t stop them if they get that opportunity,” Vardanyan said.
