1437 forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh received Armenian citizenship

YEREVAN, MAY 29, ARMENPRESS. 2075 forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh applied for citizenship of the Republic of Armenia, of which 1,437 were received citizenship.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan said this during the discussion of the annual report "On the Implementation of the 2023 State Budget of the Republic of Armenia" at the joint session of the standing committees.

"Currently, 96,696 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh have received temporary protection certificates, 83,942 people have registered, 2075 people have applied for Armenian citizenship, and 1437 of them have received citizenship. Forcibly displaced individuals from Nagorno-Karabakh are being served on an emergency basis," said Sargsyan.
