Building our joint future. The Global Armenian Summit kicks off in Yerevan

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. The Global Armenian Summit has started in Yerevan. ARMENPRESS reports, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan, as well as representatives of Diaspora community structures and organizations were present at the opening ceremony of the summit.

The summit will serve as a new format and dynamic platform for diaspora representatives and local partners to discuss challenges and issues of universal significance.

The agenda included topics such as national security, protection of Armenian interests, development of strategic fields of the Motherland, repatriation, investments, preservation of Armenian identity, self-organization of the diaspora, etc.

The event will have around 600 participants from more than 50 countries, as well as from Armenia and Artsakh, who will represent more than 100 community structures and organizations, scientific, professional, business, student, youth circles, etc.

During the three working days, the summit will have 8 panel discussions, 17 simultaneous sessions. Famous diaspora Armenians, experts, community figures, scientists, as well as representatives of Armenian circles will act as speakers. The event is held under the title "Building our joint future".

The voiced proposals, solutions and results will become the cornerstones of the creation and promotion of the pan-Armenian agenda. Thus, the Motherland and the diaspora will outline the priorities and directions of further joint work.
