YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. Armenia should be a contemporary country where the person’s right to think is respected and not only that, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said live on Facebook.
“Not everyone is obliged to think in the same way on various issues, including the political ones. Otherwise we are rolling our country back. The revolution brought freedom, but some forces are trying to use that and establish a poor science in Armenia. Now it seems there is a new trend, outside of standards, the name Satanists is attached to the creative work. Where we are going? The mind should work in Armenia”, Pashinyan said.
The PM commented on the discussions relating to revising the mandatory teaching of Armenian Language, Armenian History subjects in universities. He said in these debates it is necessary to understand and find concrete answers, look at the international successful practices.
“I want to understand what task we are putting before the university system. If our university system will not be able to prepare competitive specialists, so why we finance it? If our universities are left behind the science, what are these reforms for? There are people who want to keep us in the slums of corruption”, the PM said, adding that some people who are unable to collect a signature of support from one citizen, now are protecting the Armenian language from the Armenian people. “From whom do you protect the Armenian language, from us? We should understand how much we should engage an engineer in a non-engineering work in order not to lose the track of becoming a specialist”, Pashinyan said.
