EU Ambassador comments on ongoing judicial reforms in Armenia

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. The European Union welcomes that the Armenian government is demonstrating a will to carry out judicial reforms, Head of theEU Delegationto Armenia,AmbassadorAndrea Wiktorintold reporters at a briefing.

“We welcome the fact that the Armenian government is demonstrating a will to carry out judicial reforms. In this respect we provide support in the expert field and also welcome the dialogue between the civil society and the government”, she said.

Commenting on the EU’s support to conduct transitional justice in Armenia, the Ambassador said this is a process which she doesn’t want to comment on.

“We still do not have the preliminary version of that strategy in English version, and when we have it, our experts will present their opinion”, she said.
