Cassation Court accepts complaint of Robert Kocharian’s lawyers

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. The Court of Cassation has accepted the complaint of Robert Kocharian’s lawyers, ARMENPRESS reports Robert Kocharyan’s lawyers’ team informed.

“The Court of Cassation has accepted the complaint of the lawyers of the 2nd President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, which is about the decision of the same court made on November 15, 2018 and now should revise it.

In August of the last year judge Aleksander Azaryan of the Criminal Court of Appeal set free Robert Kocharyan on the basis of immunity. The Prosecution complaint and on August 15, 2018 the Court of Cassation overturned the decision and sent the case to the Court of Appeal for a new hearing”, reads the statement of the lawyers, adding that the Court of Cassation had no right to send it back to the Court of Appeal, since it either rejects the complaint or makes a new judicial act.
