Coordinator of “Armenia!” exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum awarded with Friendship Order

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian signed a decree according to which Helen Evans, the curator of Byzantine art at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, coordinator of the “Armenia!” exhibition at the Met, has been awarded with the Order of Friendship, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.

Helen Evans was awarded for introducing the Armenian culture to the world, as well as for the great contribution to the strengthening and development of the Armenian-American friendly relations.

The Armenian President signed the respective decree based on the Prime Minister’s petition.
