No increase in ceasefire violations on border is noticed in recent period – defense ministry spox

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. No increase in ceasefire violations or tension is noticed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the recent period, Armenian defense ministry spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan told a press conference in Armenpress.

“Ceasefire violations take place almost every day, but there is just the number of cases, and the situation is being clarified depending on whether these cases are more or less. In the recent period there is no situation which we can call concerning or growing”, he said.

The spokesman said up to 10-20 cases daily, when shots are fired from small caliber weapons, unfortunately, have become a daily phenomenon.
