YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Member of Parliament Arman Babajanyan says he plans to continue serving as lawmaker in an independent capacity after quitting the opposition Bright Armenia (LHK) faction.
“I am convinced that the new Armenia needs an entirely new political system, mind and new policy. Unfortunately I do not see this new policy especially in the parliamentary forces. We have a parliament which isn’t adequate to the challenges and problems facing the state and society. I will from now on do my utmost as an independent lawmaker to unite the necessary forces and individuals and to serve their potential for Armenia’s statehood and the Armenian people,” Babajanyan told lawmakers at a session today.
Earlier when Babajanyan announced his withdrawal from LHK he said he was still undecided whether or not he will continue being a lawmaker in an independent capacity, but LHK itself said they want the MP to return the mandate and quit parliament at all.
