Chanel co-owner visits Armenia for business opportunities

YEREVAN, MARCH 8, ARMENPRESS. Chanel co-owner Gérard Wertheimer will arrive to Armenia on March 9 at the invitation of President Armen Sarkissian in what the president’s office said will be an “introductory visit”.

According to a news release of Sarkissian’s Office, this will be the first Armenia visit of Gérard Wertheimer. He is expected to study the light industry sector of the country for possible cooperation.

Gérard and his brother Alain Wertheimer are co-owners of the House of Chanel.

They are grandsons ofPierre Wertheimer, who was an early business partner of thecouturièreCoco Chanel.
