Georgia extradites two murder suspects to Armenia

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. Georgian authorities have extradited two murder suspects to Armenia in pursuance of a request from the General Prosecution.

Armen Karadavidov and Albert Blbulyan were declared wanted by Armenian police in suspicion of a fatal shootout in September of 2017 in downtown Yerevan. One man was killed and another was wounded as the two men opened gunfire from a handgun and an assault rifle outside the Tufenkian hotel in downtown Yerevan.

The suspects were hiding in Georgia and were apprehended by local police in pursuance of an arrest warrant one month after the shooting.

Another suspect, R. Khachatryan, was arrested in Armenia days after the shooting.

All three suspects are charged with murder.
