YEREVAN, JANUARY 29, ARMENPRESS. The 7th parliament doesn’t have a true opposition, according to Republican Party spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov.
The Republican Party (HHK), the former ruling party, failed to be elected to parliament in the 2018 December 9 elections.
“Today we don’t have a real opposition in parliament. We have a constitutional opposition, which wants it or not is an opposition. I don’t whatsoever have the goal to shadow neither Prosperous Armenia nor Lusavor Hayastan factions. However, the leader of one of these parties is actively defending Pashinyan’s policy during these 8-9 months, while the other is “taking water” to the revolution,” Sharmazanov, a former Deputy Speaker of Parliament said.
Sharmazanov argues that neither of the two opposition parties have criticized Pashinyan’s policy since the change of government.
