Armenia’s Hnaberd village to host Dolma festival

YEREVAN, MAY 12, ARMENPRESS. Dolma festival will be held in Armenia for already the 7th time.
This year the festival will be held in the village of Hnaberd of Ararat province on May 20, reports Armenpress.
During a press conference on May 12, Sedrak Mamulyan, Chairman of “Preservation and Development of Armenian Culinary Traditions” NGO, talked about the origins of dolma and the preparation works for the festival.
According to Mamulyan, this festival contributes to tourism development. “In general, I consider the country’s national cuisine as the most important tourism result. Our national cuisine enables to be as a bearer of competitive tourism result in the region and the whole world”, he said. He assured that 70-80% of tourists are satisfied with Armenian cuisine.
There will be 25 pavilions in the festival. It will be attended by NGO representatives, village residents, servicemen. The festival will be accompanied by Armenian dance and music. It is a good chance to get acquainted with more than 60 various types of dolma and the preparation features.
Ararat province greatly assists holding the festival.
