Pianist Maria Ghambaryan, 91, to perform in St. Petersburg

YEREVAN, MAY 5, ARMENPRESS. World renowned pianist, Honored Artist of Armenia and Russia Maria Ghambaryan will perform on May 17 in St. Petersburg’s state academic capella.

According to classicalmusicnews, the 91 year old pianist will perform Chopin.

Ghambaryan was born in Yerevan. In 1948 she graduated the Moscow Conservatory and completed her Ph.D. in 1951.

She began her career in 1951, with numerous performances in both the USSR and abroad.
