'Anora,' starring Armenian actors, nominated for Best Film at the 97th Oscars

Sean Baker's drama "Anora" has been nominated for "Best Film of the Year" at the Academy Awards ceremony.

The film is also nominated for "Best Director," "Best Actress," "Best Actor in a Supporting Role," and "Best Original Screenplay."

The following films will also compete for the title of "Best Film of the Year": "Brutalist," "Complete Unknown," "The Conclave," "Dune: Part Two," "Emilia Pérez," "I'm Still Here," "Nickel Boys," "Substance," and "Wicked." 

The 97th Academy Awards ceremony will be held on March 3.

The film "Anora" by director Sean Baker, starring Armenian actors Karen Karagulyan and Vache Tovmasyan, received the Palme d'Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
