Slovaks can be interested in Armenia’s religious tourism, whereas Czech people in mountain climbing

YEREVAN, MAY 4, ARMENPRESS. Czech tourists can be interested in mountain climbing or extreme tourism of Armenia.
The regional tour packages, such as Georgia-Armenia or later also Armenia-Iran, can be quite prospective, Armenia’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic and Slovakia Tigran Seyranyan told Armenpress.
According to him much depends on the country’s tourism infrastructure development. “The Czech Republic is a developed tourism country, last year 31 million foreign tourists visited the country. Czech people also like to travel, however, they prefer to spend summer holidays in coastal states, for instance in Croatia”, the Ambassador said.
He said Slovaks can be interested in Armenia’s religious tourism, whereas the Czech people may be more interested in mountain climbing.
“I must highlight the role of Robin Böhnisch, MP of the Czech parliament, Head of theCzechRepublic-Armeniafriendship group, in the field of tourism. He visits Armenia several times a year, taking with him his friends, including the Czech MPs and officials”, Ambassador Seyranyan said.
On April 19 presentation of Robin Böhnisch’s book (Czech and English) entitled “Armenia – Country of Mountains, Monasteries and Wine” was held, some part of the book is dedicated to Artsakh. According to the Ambassador, the book will become a unique tool to attract tourists to Armenia.
