Armenian artists take part in Surajkund International Crafts Mela in India

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 22, ARMENPRESS. With the assistance of the ministry of culture of Armenia, the delegation of Armenian artists took part in the 31st Surajkund International Crafts festival February 1-15 in Faridabad, India.

The delegation included Lilit Melikyan, director of the “Teryan Cultural Center”, soloist Hasmik Harutyunyan of the “Shoghakn” folk ensemble and Folk Artist Arpi Avdalyan.

Armenian national costumes, handicraft and embroidery items, jewelry, silk necklaces and rugs were presented. Hasmik Harutyunyan delivered a performance.

At the invitation of Armenia’s Ambassador to India Armen Martirosyan, the Armenian delegation also visited New Delhi. As result, the Armenian artists reached agreements on further cooperation and established business ties in India.
