165 year old Armenian engraved tombstone discovered in Turkey

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. A 165 year old stone with Armenian engraving was discovered during excavations in Turkey’s Harput district, Elazig city. Allegedly the stone is a gravestone, according to Agos.

The stone was discovered during construction works within the framework of a renovation of a church.

The stone will be transported to the Elazig museum after study.
