Obama pardons Thanksgiving turkey one last time as POTUS

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Barack Obama has pardoned the Thanksgiving turkey one last time as President of the USA. The US celebrates Thanksgiving Day on the fourth Thursday of November.

During the event in the Rose Garden of White House, Obama was joined by his two nephews – Austin and Aaron Robinson.

Obama’s daughters – Malia and Sasha – didn’t come to the event, and at one point the President joked saying – “just couldn't take my jokes anymore -- they were fed up”.

Abraham Lincoln was the first POTUS to hold the pardoning event back in 1863.
