Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian holds chess session with children

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Chess grandmaster Levon Aronian held a chess session with children within the framework of the “Sport for equal opportunities” initiative.

22 children from Yerevan schools took part in the event, which is already a traditional session.

“I think it is interesting for children because they are trying to play maximally. Chess is the game which welcomes equality in everything. Chess has the ability to bring people closer”, Aronian said.

Director of the “Bridge of Hope” NGO Susanna Tedovsyan thanked Aronian for holding the chess session.

Aronian has been participating in the initiative for 7 consecutive years.
