Aronian named 2025 St. Louis Rapid and Blitz champion

Levon Aronian, the Armenian chess grandmaster representing the US, has won the Grand Chess Tour 2025 St. Louis Rapid and Blitz tournament. 

The GM’s score after Blitz round 18 was 24.5 (1st place) and he finished 3 points ahead of runner-up Fabiano Caruana. Aronian took the $40,000 prize.

Maxime Vachier-Lagrave is third.
