World Teachers’ Day celebrated in Talish school

STEPANAKERT, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Teachers of the Talish school, who were forced to leave their homes and school as result of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan in April and later settled in Alashan, Martakert, celebrated World Teachers’ Day in their school.

Director Tanya Mezhunts told ARTSAKHPRESS 23 children are studying in the Alashan school.

“Prior to the events of April, the Talish Secondary School had 102 students. On April 2, we were forced to leave our village and temporarily settle in Alashan. True, the conditions here are good, but the native school of our native village attracts us more. Schoolchildren miss their school in particular. They ask all the time, as to when are we going to return to Talish. We are doing everything so the education of the children continues”, she said.

The director added that 14 teachers are working in the school.

The NKR Government and individual philanthropists assist the school.
