YEREVAN, AUGUST 22, ARMENPRESS. Iran must be involved in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict negotiations, says Larisa Alaverdyan – director of “Against Violation of law” NGO.
“Iran must be involved in the negotiations process, because it is a bordering country and is an active factor in the region”, she said.
Alaverdyan said Turkey is a bordering country, which was a Minsk Group member from the beginning, however has openly represented the interests of Azerbaijan.
“Shouldn’t the issue of suspending Turkey’s membership from the Minsk Group be voiced now? A country which says territories must be surrendered to Azerbaijan cannot be included”, she said.
