Medieval artifact discovered in Dzoravank village

GAVAR, JUNE 17, ARMENPRESS. Resident of the Dzoravank village Aygen Inants, who is a family doctor and the director of the Dprabak clinic, discovered a handmade pillar in the territory of Dzoravank, near the Tavush Province. The pillar artifact resembles one of the treasures of medieval Armenian architecture.

Aygen Inants told Armenpress that he discovered the artifact while walking in the fields, and he transported the pillar to his backyard.

He described the artifact as clearly having the image of a sword engraved on it, with symbols on each side. On the tip of the sword he says a cross can be seen.
