Defense Minister’s Spokesperson: Many ways and methods exist to fights against any type of weapon

YEREVAN, MAY 3, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Defense Minister’s Spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan says there are many ways and measures to fight against any type of weapon. During the meeting with journalists on May 3 he stated that there is no absolute weapon in the world, and methods exist to fight against all kinds of weapons. He urged not to exaggerate the capabilities of “Smerch” and TOS 1 weapons. He ensured that if the world military thought tries to find mechanisms to fight against something, Armenians do not yield anything from them.

As an example he brought the fact that the Armenian side managed to destroy adversary’s 14 UAVs during the four-day war. He also stated that today the weapons of 80s still remain as the best ones. According to him, the GRAD multiple rocket launcher which is also a weapon from 80s is considered one of the best weapons. “If any type of weapon is being advertised at Youtube, it doesn’t mean that this weapon is better than the others. “GRAD” multiple rocket launcher is frequently used and has become common for many people, however it doesn’t mean that it is less dangerous than other types of weapons. I ask you to stop the advertisement of “Smerch”, TOS 1 weapons and the exaggeration of their capabilities. This kinds of advertisement talks create fun among the militaries since every weapon has its significance”, Artsrun Hovhannisyan concluded.
