Edward Luck urges political leaders not to target minorities

YEREVAN, APRIL 23, ARMENPRESS. Wherever people live, they should demand responsibility from their political leaders not to target minorities, Arnold A. Saltzman Professor of Professional Practice in International and Public Affairs Edward Luck said this during the “Aurora Dialogues” discussions.

“There is an agreement that the state should bear the responsibility for its residents and it has also international obligations. When we look at refugees, we see that the number of issues seeking a solution are increasing”, “Armenpress” reports, Edward Luck mentions.

According to him, the political leaders should not target minorities and their issues.

“There is a need to make them responsible everyday for those issues which seem important to us and upon which decisions are being: we should follow how the government deals with these issues. They have an influence on the lives of our compatriots” he stated.
