YEREVAN, APRIL 6, ARMENPRESS. Secretary General of the Organisation Internationale de la FrancophonieMichaëlle Jean is highly concerned over the restoration of military operations in Nagorno Karabakh which is the heaviest in the last 20 years. As “Armenpress” reports citing the official webpage of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie, she expressed regret for the losses of human life caused by military operations.
“I urge all sides to stop the struggle, respect the ceasefire regime and conduct the necessary measures to avoid from further escalation of violence which is harmful for peace and people”, she said.
Secretary General urged to restore negotiations with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (the OSCE) Minsk Group Co-Chairs for reaching a peaceful, balanced and long-term settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict in accordance with the resolution adopted by the states and governments in the Organisation Internationale de la FrancophonieSummit in Dakar in November 2014.
