Electricity production rises by 5.2% in January, 2016 in Armenia

YEREVAN, MARCH 1, ARMENPRESS. According to data published by the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia, 682.8 million kWh was produced in Armenia in January, 2016. “Armenpress” reports B24.am website informs that this is 5.2% rise as compared to January, 2015.

In particular, TPP production volume rose by 1.4%, producing a total of 245.3 million kWh. HPPs recorded 23.7% increase, producing 154.8 million kWh. Nuclear power production rose by 0.4% with a total production of 282.3 million kWh. Alternative energy production dropped by 32.3%, producing 0.4 million kWh.

Armenia produced 7798.2 million kWh energy in 2015, which is an increase of 0.6% against the previous year.
