Armenia is a serious business area for making investments: Artur Javadyan

YEREVAN, JANUARY 21, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is rather serious and good business area for making investments, Chairmanof theCentral Bank of Armenia Artur Javadyan mentioned on January 21 after the ceremony of contracts signing among “Armeriabank”, EBRD and IFC.

“At the beginning of this year, 2 major international financial structures enter the Republic of Armenia. This also states on the proper work of Armenian authorities and banking system and we have stable and slowly developing economy. Of course, everything is relative. If we compare with other countries in the region then our partners have been able to prove that Armenia is rather serious and good business area for making investments,” Chairmanof the ArmenianCentral Bank mentioned, as “Armenpress” reports.

Memberofthe World Bank Group, International Finance Corporation(IFC) issued $50 mln loan to “Ameriabank”. Besides, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) ivested US$ 40 million in the acquisition of an equity stake in “Ameriabank”.
