YEREVAN, DECEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Head ofmultimediahubSputnik Armenia Agency, writer and journalist Dmitry Pisarenko possesses the history very well. He considers Armenia as his homeland and the offer to work in Armenia is a return to home for him. Pisarenko presented his memories related to Yerevan and made remarks over modern media.
-You were born and grew up in Armenia. Your childhood passed in Yerevan.
- Yes, I grew up in a yard, where Masis mount was seen very well. Not having a place to play football, we used different kinds of opportunities and it does not matter how one kicked the ball as it always as it went through the church yard of Saint Sarkis Church and one had to run quickly and take the ball otherwise it would fall into the canyon. These days Masis was very nice and we, admired with the scene, often lost our vigilance and the ball fell into the canyon. We did not talk about it, but we all thought that one day will ascend Masis. We were confident that if the 3rd World War broke out and the Soviet Union won it, that area will be returned to its original owners. My grandfather was a writer. He has long studied Griboyedov’s biography.
- Therefore, when you were appointed head of “Sputnik Armenia”, did it seem to be a return home?
-Of course, I returned home after 14 years but I did not lose the connection with my homeland as my mother, grandmother, and my wife’s parents live here.
-And what Armenia and Yerevan looked like after 14 years?
-Of course it has changed a lot. I am happy that a lot has changed, but honestly, I miss the old Yerevan, the “Covered market”.
-What are the challenges of “Sputnik Armenia”? How will your headed Agency vary?
- Sputnik is a multipolar, multicultural and multi-format project, which is presented in more than 30 languages; it has editions in dozens of countries. Sputnik Armenia's task is to present different views on international and local modern topics. We will present the reader not only the event, but also its details. And of course, we'll put the emphasis on multimedia.
