Henrikh Mkhitaryan – 2015 best footballer of Armenia, winner of “Golden Ball”

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) summed up the 2015 voting results of “Best footballer of the year” nomination. According to the established order, the beginning of voting was announced on December 11. The voting deadline was December 21.

As “Armenpress” reports, referring to the official website of FFA, 56 footballers were nominated for the secret voting of 2015, 47 people participated in the voting. As it is known, the candidacies of 5 best footballers are presented bythe clubs of the Armenian Premier League for the selection of the best footballer of Armenia. Then FFA presents its candidates from Armenia national team and youth team after which the list is introduced for secret voting.

Midfielder of the Armenian national football team and Borussia Dortmund FC Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been voted as the best Armenia footballer of 2015. So, Mkhitaryan has become the best footballer of Armenia for the 5th consecutive time and the 6th time in his career. Mkhitaryan collected 228 points.

The second place is occupied by Gaël Andonian (Armenian national team, FC Dijon) with 46 points. Marcos Pizzelli occupied the third place (Armenian national team, FC Aktobe) with 44 points.

The best footballer of the year - Henrikh Mkhitaryan - will be awarded with “Golden Ball” award, a special certificate of honour, and 4 million AMD. The winner of the second place Gaël Andonian will be awarded with “Silver Ball” award, special certificate and 2. 800 .000 AMD. The winner of the third place Marcos Pizzelli will be awarded with “Bronze Ball” award, special certificate and 2 million AMD.
