YEREVAN, DECEBER 22, ARMENPRESS. The film “Map of Salvation”, which tells about the fate and stories of five missionary women who helped the Armenian people, continues to triumph. The author of the idea, general producer and Founding Director at Man Pictures Studio Manvel Saribekyan informed “Armenpress” that the film will be screened in Lebanon, Estonia, possibly in Bulgaria, USA.

“It is planned for the coming 5-6 months where the film will be screened. Negotiations with some countries are in progress. The film is also presented in festivals, and I will bring more details about them when we have positive answers,” he said.

He added that the film screening was organized in Denmark – Copenhagen and Aarhus – by Armenian Embassy to Denmark and Norway at the initiative of Ambassador Hrachya Aghajanyan on December 12-13. The film was also shown in Stockholm, Sweden on December 14.

According to Saribekyan, the film was received very well by the audience.

“There were worries and concerns, of course, because ultimately it is a documentary, historians, the biographer of the heroines of the film were present. There were no objections on their part,” Manvel Saribekyan emphasized.

The film “Map of Salvation” was presented to the audience in 2015. The film tells about five European women, Maria Jacobsen (Denmark), Karen Jeppe (Denmark), Bodil Biørn (Norway), Alma Johansson (Sweden), Anna Hedvig Büll (Estonia), who were witnesses to the Armenian Genocide and subsequently founded shelters for Armenian children and women. The documentary was directed by Aram Shahbazyan. The film is about the Armenian Genocide, focusing more on the humanitarian activities of the 5 women.
