World's best robots reached Yerevan

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. The exhibition "Ball of robots" was opened In Yerevan, December 8, passing for the first time in the region. The exhibition is presented at the initiative of Ameriabank In the capital of Armenia.

The exhibition features more than 20 interactive robots from the UK, the US, Russia, Ireland and other countries, including the famous English robot humanoid actor Tespian, Japanese robot Paro, allowing advantage zootherapy, Ukrainian robot waiter Yosha, Robofootball from South Korea, Robot ping pong, an American robot "Baxter" performing industrial tasks, and other interesting robots with different functionalities as well as the best examples of the Armenian robotics.

Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, prominent entrepreneurs of the domestic sphere of robotics, culture and art figures, representatives of the partners of the event, as well as personnel of the Group "Ameria" came to get introduced with the wonders of technology .Honorable guests were the children who were able to socialize, play and take pictures with magic robots. The event was made by Mika Varosyan, runner-up at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

"The exhibition aims to introduce children and adults with the achievements of engineering thinker robots brought from around the world, as well as the prospects of development of robotics. However, it is a charity event. The majority of the proceeds will be directed to the treatment of children with leukemia," Artak Hanesyan , Ameriabank Director General- Chairman of Board. said. It is attached a special attention to educational objectives of the project: to the selection of robots parties related materials, excursions and so on.

Director GeneralatYerevan Mall Vazrik Sekoyan in his turn said he was happy to have contributed to this initiative, promoting the development of engineering creativity in Armenia and aimed at the financial support of children with leukemia.

This fascinating exhibition will be held from December 09 untilJanuary 10, 2016 (closed days: December 31 and January 01) at YerevanMall. Special discount rates are offered for children: AMD 2200 onweekdays and AMD 3300 on weekends. Adult tickets will cost AMD 2900and AMD 3900 respectively.
