YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Eugene Kaspersky - the winner of the 2015 Republic of Armenia Presidential Award in the Sphere of Information Technologies (IT) honored the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in Tsitsernakaberd. “Armenpress” reports that he laid flowers at the eternal fire accompanied by Hayk Demoyan, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. Kaspersky and the delegation accompanying him, familiarized themselves with the history of the Armenian Genocide when visiting the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. Kaspersky left a note in the Commemoration Book: “Tragedy and grief. I hope it will never repeat.”
Afterwards, Eugene Kaspersky planted a tree in thememory alley of the Memorial Complex.
The ceremony of awarding Eugene Kaspersky with 2015 Republic of Armenia Presidential Award in the Sphere of Information Technologies (IT) took place at the Presidential Palace on November 17.
Kaspersky, who was bestowed the award for his global contribution to the IT area, has made a considerable input in the area of high technologies. He is also a world-class specialist in the area of cybersecurity and the Director General of Kaspersky Lab – one of the leading private companies in the area. Kaspersky Lab is one of the biggest private companies in the sphere of cybersecurity. It has 40 regional branches in 200 countries including Armenia.
