Conan thanks everyone who made Conan Armenia happen

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Conan O'Brien, famous host of Conan TV show, thanked everyone who supported them during the shooting of the TV show episode in Armenia.

“Thanks to Sona Movsesian and everyone who made Conan Armenia happen,” Conan posted on his Twitter page.

He also published his and assistant Sona’s photo where they have dinner wrapped in headscarves.

“Two beautiful Armenian women enjoying their lunch,” he posted.

In another photo Sona and Conan are dressed in shepherd clothing.

“I'm not positive, but I think I could be the first late night host ever to herd sheep in Armenia.”

“This is an Armenian dance called “Where did I park again?”” he posted about the photo where he dances an Armenian traditional dance near the Temple of Garni.

Conan writes about the last photo: “As requested I bought Sona Movsesian’s father a nice painting. No word on what her mother thinks.”

Conan announced last month he would become the first American late-night host to film in Armenia. He and TBS are hoping he can re-create some of the press coverage, and ratings, the show achieved last spring when O’Brien shocked the media and made headlines as the first American late-night host to shoot in Cuba in more than 50 years. He also generated larger than usual ratings with his Cuba trip — in April, TBS reported a total of 3.7 million viewers had checked out Conan In Cuba. During the Cuba special, Conan mocked CNN, learned the importance of the Cuban clave beat, wowed a band with his 8th-grade Spanish skills, and filed a report for CNN. Final stats for that trip came out one day after the White House announced President Obama would remove Cuba from the U.S. list of nations that sponsor terrorism as part of Obama’s move to restore diplomatic relations.

Conan’s road trips are his strong suit, creatively and ratings-wise. And TBS had said following the success of his Cuba visit he would do more road trips from other locations around the globe.
