Hollande slams any support to Assad

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Commenting on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to Moscow, French President FrançoisHollande hoped that the meeting will speed up transition policy in Syria. “Armenpress” reports, citing “TASS”, Hollande stated that any support directed to Assad is unacceptable.

“No steps must be taken in support of Assad”, Hollande said, adding that he hopes that Vladimir Putin will succeed in persuading Assad to start political transition process and resign as soon as possible. “I hope that the aim of the meeting is that”, President of France mentioned.
