Political scientist: Russia and Turkey both have Anti-Western stance

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Turkey was and remains Russia’s friendly country. Both countries have joint huge economic interests in the Southern Caucasus. Ara Papian told “Armenpress” referring to Vladimir Putin’s announcement that Turkey remains Russia’s friendly country and preferred partner.

“Contradictions occurred between Russia and Turkey over Syria, Crimea, and some other issues, but overall, they are strong allies. Vladimir Putin was mild in his announcement when calling Turkey a “friend”, Ara Papian noted.

The joint stance of these two countries, according to the political scientist, is anti-Westernizm. Russia and Turkey are sometimes allies, sometimes oppose each other.

“Turkey is among our preferred partners and friends. We have had good relations with Turkey for many years. It is one of our major trade and economic partners. Enough to pay attention to our construction market, which reaches billions during the last years”, RF President had said.
