Knyaz Hasanov: Erdoğan commits genocide against Kurds

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. President of the Republic of Turkey Recep TayyipErdoğan has launched a real genocide against the Kurdish population of Turkey. President of the KurdishNationalCouncilofArmenia Knyaz Hasanov told the journalists on October 14. “President of Turkey Recep TayyipErdoğan plans to introduce a presidential system of government which was impeded by the Kurdish People's Democratic Party, which received 79 deputy mandates in the Majlisbecoming an obstacle for the President’s “Justice and Development” party to form a majority in the parliament. That fact caused wrath among the current Turkish authorities which motivated them to incite a real civil war against the Turkish people”, “Armenpress” reports, he mentioned.

Knyaz Hasanov noted that the Turkish authorities also plan to exterminate the Kurds living in Syria. “It is a documented fact that the Turkish authorities supported the “Islamic State” terrorist organization aiming, first and foremost, to exterminate our nation. But the Kurds of Syria managed to form self-defense units which successfully fight against the IS terrorists”, Hasanov mentioned, calling super-powers to stop the massacres against the Kurdish people by Turkey. “We hail the military operations conducted by the Russian Federation in Syria, as it is really directed against the IS, which is not favored by the Turkish elites”, Knyaz Hasanov emphasized.

Referring to the question if the Kurdish people intend to create their own state, he answered that the Kurdish people struggles for its self-government, but not for separate state.
