Charles Aznavour arrives in Armenia

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS. French-Armenian legendary singer Charles Aznavour has already arrived in Armenia. The reporter of “Armenpress” informs about this from "Zvartnots" International Airport. Charles Aznavour has arrived in Armenia to participate in Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairsofthe International OrganizationofLa Francophonie in the framework of which he will give an exclusive concert at Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex on October 10.

French - Armenian singer, songwriter, actor, public activist and diplomat Charles Aznavour was born on May 22, 1924 in Paris. He has written more than 1,200 songs, sung in eight languages, sold more than 180 million records. Along with holding the mostly ceremonial title of French ambassador-at-large to Armenia, Aznavour agreed to hold the position of Ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland on 12 February 2009. Aznavour is also the permanent representative of Armenia in a number of international organizations, such as the UN office in Geneva.
