SYOA and State Jazz Band of Armenia to play Aram Khachaturian’s works in jazz orchestration

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS. Armenian and international premiers, performances of more than 60 works, exclusive projects; few hours remain to the opening of Aram Khachaturian 3rd International Festival. As “Armenpress” was informed by the Department of Public Relations of festival’s organizer State Youth Orchestra (SYOA) the solemn opening ceremony of the International Festival will be held atAram Khachaturian Concert Hall on October 3.

This year it will be carried out under the auspices of the Republic of Armenia President.

At the opening of the festival, State Youth Orchestra will play works of Aram Khachaturian led by artistic director andprincipal conductor Sergey Smbatyan. The closing concert of the festival will be unprecedented. On December 5 State Youth Orchestra will introduce innovation. Together with the State Jazz Bandof Armenia, SYOA will play Aram Khachaturian’s works in jazz orchestration.
