YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The new film series by host, film director, script writer Arthur Bakhtamyan is titled as “Unvoiced Nobel Speeches” (translated from Armenian). The latter presents the speeches of the four Armenian martyred intellectuals: Krikor Zohrab, Daniel Varoujan, Siamanto and Ruben Sevak based on biographical facts about the authors, the times they lived in, their wishes and disappointments. The films series are ready and will be introduced to the public on October 1.
“We have had massive filming. We have chosen the format of Nobel Speech not to make it boring. We have a very rich literature of thousands of centuries but for some reason no Armenian has ever stood on that stage. The Nobel Prize is considered a criterion no Armenian has ever been awarded with,” “Armenpress” reports, the author of the film Arthur Bakhtamyan said. The film authors tried to find an answer to the question “why” which is very clear: there is a disruption between the continuity of Eastern and Western Armenian literature.
The new film series are dedicated to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
