Politologist: In UN Armenian President stated that Yerevan is capable to ensure its safety with its own potential

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan’s speech from the UN high platform is an evidence that from now on, the official Yerevan will ensure its security basing on the own potential of the implementation of military-political and legal processes, but not on the possible factor of international pressure. Politologist Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan expressed such view in the interview with “Armenpress”.

On September 29, President Serzh Sargsyan participated in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, where he made an address. Among other topics, the president touched upon the tension of the borders and Azerbaijani actions. He particularly mentioned that If the Azerbaijani aggressive policy continues, Armenia will not have another variant, but to fulfill necessary legal and military-political steps to ensure the safety and the peaceful development of the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno karabakh Republic.
