Armenia highly values Sweden’s balanced approach to Nagorno Karabakh conflict

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Armenia highly values Sweden’s balanced approach to the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Serzh Sargsyan who is on a working visit in the USA emphasized the aforementioned during his meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven in New York on September 28. “Armenpress” reports that President Sargsyan highly valued Armenian-Swedish cooperation which according to him had significantly developed during recent years marked by active dialogues of the foreign ministers of the two parties, opening of embassies, numerous mutual visits.

Republic of Armenia President and Prime Minister of Sweden attached great importance to relations between the EU and Armenia as well as collaboration in the agenda of Armenian-Swedish cooperation. Republic of Armenia President stressed the importance of Sweden’s role as a co-authorof theEastern Partnershipproject in strengthening relations between Armenia and the EU.

The parties also touched upon issues related to cooperation in the framework of international organizations.

Serzh Sargsyan and Stefan Löfven attached importance to deepening parliamentary cooperation between the 2 friendly countries.
