Azerbaijani authorities adopt felonious strategy to transfer conflict settlement into field of force

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. Nagorno Karabakh Republic Dense Ministry issued a statement on the occasion of escalation of tension on the contact line of Kharabakh-Azerbaijan troops.
As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of NKR Defense Ministry, the statement reads as follows.
“Considering the recent intensive process of mortar and rocket strikes and application of large caliber rifle shooting by the rival on the contact line of Armenian-Azerbaijani opposing troops, it can be documented that the Azerbaijani military-political leadership has adopted the felonious strategy to transfer conflict settlement from peaceful negotiations into field of force. Shelling the civilians and attacking the Armenian positions, which take more and more cynical and deliberate nature, demonstrate that the rival is inclined to guide the situation into a development pregnant with unforeseen consequences relying on deliberate and provocative measures.
Based on the current situation, the NKR Defense Ministry once again attracts the attention of the international society and particularly those international organizations that are engaged in the peace process of Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict on provocative and nonconstructive policy adopted and continuously brought to life by official Baku and informs that the responsibility of any consequence caused by the situation lies on no one else than on the Azerbaijani side”.
On September 25, at about 17:30, conservation area of one of the Defense Army north-eastern units was shelled by Turkish made TR-107 multiplerocket launchers by the Azerbaijani armed forces which resulted in fatal shrapnel wounds to four Defense Army servicemen: Norayr Khachatryan, 1995, Robert Mkrtchyan, 1995, Harut Hakobyan, 1997, and Karen Shahinyan, 1997. There are also injured.
