Government ready to discuss reasonable proposals to support newly established IT companies

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, and MicrosoftCentral and Eastern Europe regional president Don Grantham, attended “Microsoft” innovative center.
As “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government, Armenian PM and Don Grantham toured in the center, got acquainted with its activities and results. The head of the Government also talked to the directors of a number of start-up companies operating in Armenia, got acquainted to their products and discussed development methods of start-ups.
“Microsoft” innovative center trained over 3000 students during its 4-year operation who are currently employed in leading IT companies.
PM Abrahamyan highly appreciated the role of “Microsoft” innovative center in the development of the IT sector. The PM mentioned that the IT sector has great development potential in Armenia and the Government is ready to discuss any reasonable proposal to support newly established IT companies. Hovik Abrahamyan reminded that the Executive provides tax privileges to newly established companies of the IT sector.
